Dr. Ho grew up in North York and completed his Bachelor of Science at Western University, where he earned a gold medal and the honour of Gonfalonier by achieving the highest academic average in his program and faculty. He returned to Toronto to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto, serving as Vice President of his class and faculty. He then moved to the West coast and completed his orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science degree at the University of British Columbia. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, dedicated to the highest standards of orthodontics.

In his free time, he can be found spending it with his fiancée Mirian, who is also training to be an orthodontist. Together, they have a cute bunny, named Mashi. He is also a competitive badminton player and has hobbies like archery, pottery, filmmaking, snorkeling, and non-profit work.
